Armenia has a complicated geological structure, which is rich with the variety of caves and underground empthy spaces. There are all kinds of caves in Armenia, which are famous for speleology. Armenian caves are of three types by their origin: volcanic, karst and anthropogenic. Only volcanic and anthropogenic caves have been well researched but few articles have been published about karst. Armenian geological structure caused the appearances of such rare karst caves as Arger caves. In these caves one can observe a wide range of hydrothermal formations: low and high temperature argonit, calcite, Iceland stone, etc. The argonit layer thickness is about 2 meters.
